Sorry for not being there these past few weeks. I have been on vacation spending part of the time with the family and the other part being lazy.
It’s been almost 2 weeks since my last running goal of the year race…
As many of you know, on October 7th, was my 10km race that I have been training the whole summer for.
We couldn’t ask for a better day for our race. It was sunny, not too windy which was a miracle since usually there’s a lot of wind, and not too cold. It was chilly a little, but perfect for running!
The whole family did a race.
My dad and husband: 42 km
My brother: 21.1 km
Me & my dad’s girlfriend: 10 km
And the 3 kids and my brother and his girlfriend the 1 km.
It was so cute to see the kids running! I find it’s a good way to start them to be active early!
My run went really well. I aimed for 1:15 minutes and since all climate aspect and elevations were on my side, I managed to finish in 1:02:41!!!
I am so happy, this is now my personal best! I beat it by almost 15 minutes!
I mentioned in my last post that my husband didn’t train very much for the marathon. Well, he impressed me. He finished a few seconds before my dad. He finished it in 4:33. I am so proud of both of them. This is huge.
Now time to set winter goals… what should it be? I still yet to figure that out. A thought briefly of doing boxing… but I am not quite sure… 😊
