Do you have those days that you’ve have limited time to achieve something and someone comes to talk to you and you have to cut what you were supposed to do short?
It happened to me yesterday. I was doing a lunchtime workout, which I have literally 45 mins to do everything. Walk there, change, workout, change and come back. That leaves me pretty much about 25 mins to do my gym workout!
I had my earphones on, in the zone… Here is that trainer that decided to talk to me. Most likely trying to sell me some personal training session. Believe me, I completely understand and I am all for personal training if you’re unsure of what you’re doing and need motivation.
The thing is though, I have been with multiple trainers for many years and I don’t really have time to work with one right now. Maybe someday I will, but I think I have learned a lot and can manage on my own for a while.
He was going on and on, telling me that I should do a different exercise that would work better. Well, I knew that! I just felt like doing that one. I lost maybe 10 mins of my workout because of him.
I just don’t understand how sometimes people will approach you when you have your earphones on… To be honest, if I wanted advice or a personal trainer, I would ask for it. People don’t need to nag us. I just hate it. Now I don’t know if I want to go bad by the fear he will come back asking again… I do understand that they need clients, but I think if they push too much, they push people outside the door.
Anyways, that’s my little rant on this fine Thursday evening. 🙂
