#ThinkAloudThurday: Where is our World Going?

Tragic events have occurred involving weapons this week … Is it just me or the gun violence has increased exponentially in the last year? Why is someone going to shoot innocent people? How do teenagers access firearms in the first place? This should not happen at all!

Sometimes I wonder where our world is going … So many people with mental illness need help on our streets and do the unthinkable when it can be avoided. Why is that? Don’t we have enough professionals to help them? It’s scary to even think about it.

Canada is not a third world country, why do we see these violent acts. It’s becoming to a point that people are getting scared to go on walks.

Why can not we talk to each other when something makes us angry instead of using violence to express our feelings? It is inconceivable to think that someone would do this just because he/she felt like it…

My thoughts are with the families who lost their beloved ones. This is just unbelievable. My thoughts are also with the people that were injured and wishing them a speedy recovery.

A man whose family said he suffered from psychosis and depression fired a handgun into restaurants and cafes in a lively Toronto neighborhood…
