Hello everyone, Happy Wednesday!
It’s been a while since I made an update on my #fitnessJourney and my running.
Since I have decided to leave the half marathon to another year, it has been going much better. Only in the past week, I have been feeling some knee pains and I have the feeling is because I need to change my shoes. I have been using the same one since January and I have been running 3 to 4 times a week and workout with them. I may need to retire my shoes.
I have been using the MapMyRun app and I was having problems with it. The GPS was not working properly… I got tired of it and I have been using Nike+Run Club app for the past 2 runs and it’s been going pretty well. I also have a Fitbit. If you use one of those apps, let me know, maybe we can keep each other accountable! Message me if you’d like to do that! 🙂
I’ve been pretty good keeping it up until this Sunday. Mother nature was not cooperating. She decided to send us some rain… not fun mother nature! Again last night… so I missed 2 workouts. 😦
The good part of this little break is that it is helping my knees recover a bit. The bad thing is that I am slowing falling back into the old habits… trying to skip it… There are limits to taking breaks until you get lazy again and want to give up.
The thing is, I can’t give up. I am officially registered to run a 10 km in October! Getting lazy isn’t an option. 🙂
I was not supposed to go for a run tonight, but since I missed a few days, I might go for 20 mins or so to keep moving. Hopefully, it won’t rain.
Let see if mother nature will be on my side this week!
