#FitnessJourney: It's a slow process, but I'm getting back at it!

Hi everyone,

It’s a slow process to get back to the motivation I had before I got sick last month, but this week, I think I did pretty good.

I went to the gym 3 times! Of course, I have reduced my cardio time to 35 mins instead of 50 mins, but I still feel good about it and I am less tired. It gave me more time to do some weight lifting training.

Last weekend was the Easter weekend, so the gym was closed. My husband and I went for a 30 mins run around the block instead.

Since the weather is getting nicer now, I’ve also decided to go for a walk at lunchtime instead of working through my whole lunch. It gave me a little break and I intend to keep it up on the days the weather is good enough.

I also have been trying to drink more water. I have a tendency, when it gets busy at work, to forget to drink. I take this seriously because I had a kidney stone before due to the fact I wasn’t drinking enough. I don’t want to go there ever again and if you’re like me and not drinking a lot, make sure you start now because a kidney stone is the worst pain you can have.

This week, I intend to go to the gym 3 times and if the weather permits it, go for at least 1 run outside. If I can do more, I’d be happy! It is a lot more fun outside!
