Here we are, the start of a new year. If you’ve read my previous post about New Year’s Resolutions, one of my goal is to exercise regularly and be a healthier me.
I’ve started going to the gym about 3 months ago but didn’t have a specific goal in mind. my workout consisted of 30 mins elliptical and weight training. I’ve maybe lost 5 lbs doing that, but I was not careful of what I was eating. Well… during the week, I was eating well, but what was wrong was those daily Starbucks latte, the numerous weekend outing.
I’ve read that to keep yourself accountable, you can document your journey and share it with others, so here I am, today is the start of my fitness journey.
My ultimate goal is to lose 15 lbs by the time we go on vacation in mid-April.
To achieve this, I want to start running. I want to do it properly, not rushing it and build a good base first. I also want to start to eat a few vegetarian meals a week and reduce the restaurant outing on the weekend.
Today was the day one of the running training. I have done 42 mins of intervals on the treadmill (2 mins Walk/2 mins Run). I forgot how it felt after running, I felt refreshed which I didn’t feel that way on the elliptical.
I’ve had personal trainers for many years, but I want to tackle this on my own this time around. Let’s see if I can do this! 🙂
